Pet Post -- Holy Fluff

This unprecedented post shocked me at first, too. A cute bird? Impossible! Then this little bugger came along and turned my world upside down:

Shock and Awe

This ruined my morning:

Ron Artest is famous for being the worst/scariest person alive.

But then this made everything better:

Peter's cat is famous for being adorable and strong! Go ahead!

Image Inspiration -- The Ouija Experience

This image both horrifies and excites me. Typically I play in bars or on empty floors and am wondering now if setting up a spread such as this would invite new characters into the experience...

Great Distractions

Another thing to distract you from Pitt's loss is tonight's STAR TREK episode of Family Guy (9pm on Fox):

Empathy

After watching the following three films:

Waitress
Awakenings
The Lives of Others

I am drawn to their compelling hooks and captivated by the unveiling of human honesty we rarely reveal. It made me think of video artist Catherine Sullivan's urge to capture raw emotions from actors. PBS made an interesting montage of her work:

Dreams Illustrated

First my belongings were drenched in white paint (like Helga Steppan's "All My Things" series)

Then Bob Dylan tried to hit on me

Then the plane I was on just kept taking off...and just froze in the air, 20 feet from the landing strip.

Sleepy Time

When unable to sleep, I often do online searches for bedtime stories. This one caught my fancy:

"The Pig Who Wanted To Become The King - The young pig went into his mother's kitchen and packed himself a lunch. "I am leaving," he announced. "I am going to become the king." "Good luck," said Father Pig, (taking the news rather well). "Come back and visit us soon." This whimsical tale comes to us from Israel. Reading time: About 6 minutes
Age Group: Any age"

Sweet Dreams!!

I bet this guy played this instrument. (Note: this is the current display at the Berkshire's famously slow Holiday Inn.)

What is the What With Puppets?

They are suddenly all the rage again. This past weekend I saw a puppet set in the Berkshires with metal bins filled with felt creatures and water works equipment. Now the U of Penn's ICA is hosting a puppet show of their own.
